Every year parents send their children into the streets to get candy from strangers on Halloween night. Then they wait for them to come home.

...

Some of them never stop waiting.

In the indirect sequel to The Well Speaks To Me, Halloween's almost over, but you're not ready for the fun to stop just yet! When the mysterious Pumpkin Man offers you a free ticket to his haunted house attraction, how could you refuse? Charging in to win the surprise at the end, you start to realize that not everything is as it seems. Why are the doors disappearing? What does he mean by the noises? Could some of those awful decorations be real?

Features custom art, atmospheric storytelling and two different endings! 3rd place winner of the #LuigikidCreepypastaChallenge Season 2! Also, this is the second game in the series, but the order you play them in doesn't matter.

congrats on the update. its my favourite game series

Thank you very much, I'm honored!!! When I started making games I wasn't sure if people would like them... definitely didn't think they would make it all the way to the top spot in someone's heart, so thanks for letting me know, it's a really cool feeling to know they matter that much! More on the way, I hope you'll like them just as much ^^

legend returns🙂
(did something change?)

(+1)

Haha thanks XD Not much, a couple of slight dialogue changes and glitch fixes. There'll be more for TWSTM though, hence the longer wait

(+2)

Equally as unnerving as the first.  Well, actually maybe even more so.  I really enjoyed coming back your world of horror.  I look forward to playing the 3rd in your series (I'll try not to wait til the 400th video though lol)

Thank you so much for playing through my second game, I'll go give it a watch :D I remember you from the TWSTM let's play, I'm so glad you returned! And wow that's awesome, congrats on 300 videos!!!

(+1)

I like your game!

(+1)

Thank you very much, I'm so glad you enjoyed it^^

Um what is the code in that one room does that lead to an end?

Hi there! To get the other ending you need to find all 3 Pumpkin keys- the code isn't necessary to beat the game, however it does have a hidden secret for lore! You actually find the code hidden in TWSTM. If you need help with either of those, I'll give you hints and/or the answer if you want! But if you want to try to find it on your own first without spoilers, I won't ruin it^^ Hope you have fun, good luck!

(1 edit) (+1)

How many endings are there?

2! One for getting all 3 Pumpkin keys and one if you don't (might want to make multiple saves)! Hope you get them both, and if you need any help I can give you hints^^

Hey! I love this game, but there might be a glitch (I'm playing on MacOS) I can't get all of the pumpkin keys. After watching a walkthrough, I figured out the one I was missing was in the mirror room. However, even though I found the jar imperfection, when I clicked on the missing shadow, the key sound chimed, but it didn't show up in my inventory, nor did it count in the final door. Edit: Never mind, I found the issue: I didn't click the second imperfection!

Hi there! Sorry if that has some rough edges, I was worse at eventing back then and I had to account for each item specifically and balance them against other outcomes. That said, I'm glad you took the time to reach out here and that it worked out in the end-and of course, that you love my game^^ I hope you enjoy the others as well, and let me know if anything else comes up! I've discovered and fixed a lot of glitches across my games thanks to player feedback like yours XD

those games are rlly interesting, i played for many times. But, so many times those games are freezed and i don't know why

Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying them! I'm sorry to hear about the freezing-I'm not an expert by any means but I suspect it has to do with compatibility issues between your computer and RPG Maker software (in my experience, I've had freezes before but few and far between so I don't think it's all the game... so sorry I can't do much about it, but thank you anyway for letting me know!).

It was definitely worth going through the game twice to get both ending, it feels like you are setting up a big story with the forest. The game really matches well to the first one, especially the artwork on the girl in her demented states, they are really creepy. The game really adds to the mystery of what is going on in the forest, especially with the monsters that exist within.

Looking forward to playing the next game.

Awesome, looking forward to watching this video as well! They say the highest praise you can give a game dev is to play more of their games, so thank you very much, I'm so happy you're going through all of them and seeing how the story unfolds! It's really encouraging to me to see that you're enjoying them^^

Zip file doesnt work on Android, I hope there'll have an apk version someday... :(

Oh sorry about that! Earlier this year google and android got several updates that made them incompatible with RPG Maker :( I kept the file up in case it still worked for ios users but I should modify it to just say that. But I will try to find a way to make it playable in the future-I think some people who are good at coding have found ways to get around it. Once again, so sorry about that!

Update: you can also use an emulator, like PlayJoi(which even featured my first game XD). Hope that helps!

Hey...umm...how can I play the android version? I tried to turn the zip to APK multiple times but none worked

Oh, thank you so much for letting me know! I searched it up and from what I understand, basically google changed the way the software works in an update this year and RPG Maker can't export that way. So I'm sorry to say, you won't be able to play it on android yet but I will try to fix that soon! In the meantime I'll let the others know with a dev log.

Alright thanks for replying

No problem! I'm glad you took the time to let me know the issue, so I can begin fixing it! And if you ever have other questions, or find other glitches, I'll be glad to hear them :)

Update: You could probably use an emulator. PlayJoi is one that even featured my first game! Don't know how well it works though, since I don't have an android to test it on.

Michaela's costume was my favourite ;)

This was another great game, not quite as scary as the first one but a lot of fun to play; it definitely has that Halloween vibe to it. The art is once again beautiful, and I love how colourful everything is this time around. Carrie is a lovely protagonist, I felt so bad for everything she had to witness, and I knew Mr Pumpkin was a creeper from the start but wow that got dark at the end. Got both endings quite quickly and now I'm very eager to see where the story goes in the third game.

Will definitely be doing another run soon to find secrets, I'm determined to get into that padlocked drawer (thought I had the numbers but apparently not).

(+1)

Haha thanks XD

And good job getting both endings! I know that mirror room pumpkin key can be difficult to find. The game was released in October about a week before Halloween, so it was perfectly in season! Now it's a little nostalgic. Also if you found the TWSTM secret, you should have had the right numbers for the drawer-maybe you accidentally wrote one down in the wrong order? If you want, I can tell you again so you don't have to do all that backtracking for something you already found.

Wow, great job finding all of them!!! I know that first one is pretty brutal. It’s thrilling to me to see dedicated players like you go in and uncover all the secrets! And thanks, I’m glad you had fun with it XD The secrets in the next games will be very well hidden, but won’t need codes from game to game. And yes, the next game will be digging deeper into the second secret and that scene at the end of the third game’s credits! Once again, I’m so happy you found them all! And even though you’re done with the games, if you want we can talk on Twitter or something. It’ll probably be a few months until the next game comes out, but I like to keep things rolling in the small community! Plus the anniversary of TWSTM is coming up in about a month...

Actually, it's only available on that day! So good job managing to find it! I have discord-no server there(yet?) but we can PM there! As far as the anniversary goes, I won't be adding to the stairs but I do have some ideas in mind, I just need a little more time to think about it. My discord name/number is Michaela Thisten#8097. Can't wait to see you there, and once again, thank you so much for playing through all of my games!^^

Ok, sounds great! I'll head over right now!

Did anyone find all three pumpkin key? I know i found two but I don't know where the third one is? Help?

(1 edit) (-1)

[MAJOR SPOILER WARNING---]

Hi there! The pumpkin keys are in the mirrored room, the maze and the corpse on the operating table.

The hardest one to get is the one in the mirror room; you have to find all three differences which are one of the pots doesn't match, one of the paintings is different, and there's no shadow against one wall. Hope that helps! If you find them all you'll get the good ending ;)

(+1)

Thank you so much!

Yeah, no problem! Glad to see you're trying to get both endings! And if you enjoy this game, the next one's coming out at the end of March ;)

(+1)

ghost here playing the updated version of her games lol ;)

Awesome!!! Perfect time to recap before the next game comes out!

(+1)

It's fun and interesting. Although when I tried to run the game I got "Profile error occurred" also, is there any hint about the password in room 8?

(+1)

Thank you!^^ I don't know why the running glitch occurred but I'll look into it! As for the password, there's a hidden section in my first game (The Well Speaks To Me) that has the code. Think of it as a side hunt for extra secrets! It's not necessary for the gameplay experience but it's there for players to search out if they're really into it. It's incredibly hard to find though-only a handful of players I know of have actually seen it. So you have two options-search on your own, or, if you want spoilers, DM me  over on Twitter and I'll tell you the passcode! Sorry if it's a hassle, but I don't want to spoil the code in this comment section. Hope that helps!

No worries! I totally understand! And I'm definitely going to download the first game and try to find the code!

Update: I did find it! Ngl, I spent HOURS trying to figure it out but finally did. It was worth it.
I played the first chapter and loved it, I love how it connects with the second one and I played the second chapter twice to get both endings. I'm excited to see what's next! Oh and while running the first game I also got the same message "profile error occurred"

Great job!!!

(+1)

Awesome!!! I'm thrilled you enjoyed my games so much and that you hunted down all the secrets! I love it when players like you go so above and beyond! And thanks for letting me know about the glitch-I'll try to fix it. The third game is in its early stages of development, so even though it'll be awhile before it comes out, it's on the way! ;)

(+1)

Ok I looked up that glitch and it seems it's due to you having at some point used a higher version of NJWs than the RPG maker engine uses on your computer. No worries though, it shouldn't affect the game other than having that message pop up! Once again thanks so much for letting me know, and even though I can't directly fix this one I hope that eases your worries a little!

(+1)

Thank you!! I did read that message in the secret area, it really sucks when players just skip hints or simply go the easy way by looking at some walkthrough, it makes the game less fun and less challenging.

Best of luck for the third game! I really LOVE the concept so far, and it would be interesting to see how things will advance!

It's just released, so updates are incoming!!! Found a bug? Let me know here and I'll patch it right up!
